Parenting can be one of the most humbling experiences known to otherwise competent and intelligent adults. Each stage of development brings a whole new set of issues. Just when you think I’ve got this down now!, your child enters another phase of growth and you find yourself wondering, Now what?
This workshop will help you to deal more effectively with the challenging issues of parenting children of all ages. You will learn how to respond to your children’s behavior by transforming your unconscious parenting habits into opportunities for self-awareness. Balance your needs with your children’s needs. Manage conflict and anger as a way to teach your children the vital skills of emotional intelligence. You will develop a clear vision of how to become the self-confident, loving and aware parent you truly are.
Christine Gerzon is a parenting coach with a Masters of Early Childhood Education from Lesley University. A co-founder of the Concord Children’s Center, she has taught all age levels from preschool to adults in private and public school settings including Concord Academy, Lesley University, Middlesex Community College, Hanscom Air Force Base, Parenting Resource Associates and Educators for Social Responsibility. As a parent of five children and three grandchildren, she brings both personal and professional wisdom to the topic of parenting.
